バレエスタジオＤＵＯ発表会

１０日（土）１１日（日）

２日間のバレエスタジオＤＵＯ発表会お疲れ様でした。

３年振りに帰って来て、どうサバイバルできるか不安でした。

案の定DUOのダンサーは上手で、不安が倍増しました。(笑)　

その中で刺激されながらの２ヶ月...いや〜厳しかった！本音です。

本番直前まで怖くて逃げたかったです！

しかし本番始まった瞬間DUOの緊張感というかやってやるぞという空気が伝わって来て、

舞台に出たら楽しくって楽しくってしょうがなかったです！

もう言葉では表せなくって申し訳有りません。

ただただ凄すぎるんです、全てが！DUOが！

考えただけで興奮してしまうのでこの辺で終わります。(笑)

洋子先生をはじめ、関係者皆様全員に心からありがとうございました!!

"It definitely was an honor to receive a medal in Jackson," says Kyohei Giovanni Yoshida, 2010 USA IBC Senior Bronze Medalist. Since then he's been working with former Pacific Northwest Ballet principal Patricia Barker at Grand Rapids Balle...t in Michigan, first as a guest artist and after one year as a principal. He was invited to perform in the 16th annual International Ballet Festival of Miami in September 2012, and most recently, Francia Russell, former artistic director of PNB traveled to Michigan and coached him for the principal role Melancholic in Balanchine’s Four Temperaments. He will perform as a guest artist in Tokyo Japan this August.

Grand Rapids Ballet accomplishes evening of ground-breaking dance by Balanchine, Arpino | MLive.com

Two seminal works that changed the face of ballet, George Balanchine’s “The Four Temperaments” and Gerald Arpino’s “Light Rain,” were part of the program plus one new work, “arms that work” by Andrew Bartee, that very well could do the same. Naturally, time and subsequent performances will tell.

It was an evening of adventurous, ensemble dance for the entire company, plus five guest artists, in Grand Rapids Ballet's Wege Theatre. Three more performances follow tonight through Sunday.

The challenge, both physically and mentally, was to dance three distinctly different vocabularies in one evening. That was a huge undertaking, and the company led by artistic director Patricia Barker accomplished it with flying colors on Thursday.

２０１３年 明けましておめでとうございます！

２０１３年明けましておめでとうございます！

去年はヴァルナを含めマイアミでの世界バレエフェスティバル出演など充実した年でした。

怪我や事故などもありましたが、

（・・・・実は’１１夏、自転車で転んで、顔面１３針縫ったんです…その他けが多し・・・。）

but　無事のんのんと生き抜いている自分が、ある意味恐ろしいです。

今年も充実した年になりそうで、楽しみです！

８月に日本で舞台があるので是非、観に来てください。

“いまだに若い踊り方してんな〜”などと思いつつも観に来てやってください。笑　

では、今年もよろしくお願いします。

En las variaciones, Kyohei hizo gala de su gran bravura téc...

Ya cesados los aplausos del público, entusiasmado por el virtuosismo “pirotécnico” de Kyohei.....

so as you see we opened 2011 with Nine Sinatra Songs.

さて、グランドラピッツバレエは2011年を Nine Sinatra Songsでオープニング

This performance Begin with Paquita which is one of my favorite ballet.

まずはバレエ、パキータから始まります。僕の好きなバレエの一つです。

From classical ballet to modern which is Moor’s Pavane by Jose Limon, the story is based on Shakespeare act ‘’Othello’’ very strong breathtaking modern by 4 people 20 minutes story telling piece.

バレエからモダンへ、『Moor’s Pavane』ホセ・リモーンの素晴らしい作品。シェイクスピアのオセロをベースとした４人のダンサーが作り上げる憎しみと悲劇の20分間！！心に響く素晴らしい作品です。

Now what makes this show so bright as the mirror ball is to finish with Nine Sinatra Songs!!

そして最後にこのショーの輝かしい作品『Nine Sinatra Songs』

This is kind of like ballroom dancing by Twyla Tharp,

トワイラ・サープによる社交ダンススタイルの作品

This is just so perfectly made with those fantastic famous songs by Frank Sinatra.
