白鳥の湖 ＧＲＢ

２月１３日から１５日まで、「白鳥の湖」でした

ジークフリードをさせていただきました。

 

ジークフリードは王子の中でも、僕にとっては、程遠い存在だと思っていました。

脚のラインが綺麗じゃないと王子は出来ないと思っていたので、

プロになってからも、もっとどうしたらラインが綺麗になるか、とか

怪我をしないような踊り方はどうしたら良いかなどと、

プロならば気にしていたい事を常に追求しています。

前は足首が痛かったり腰が痛くて起き上がれない、という事ばかり、

今は白鳥の全幕を踊っても怪我一つ無い体になりました。

そして、全幕を踊るのに、ストーリーやキャラクターを発展させるのは、

一番大切なプロセスの一つなので、

どうしたらパントマイムやパドドゥでストーリーを語れるかを

ステップより先に重視しました。

その結果、とても心地良くジークフリードというキャラクターを、演じられるようになりました。

「白鳥の湖」を通して、バレエというものが更に深い世界だなと、思いました。

いつか日本でも踊れると嬉しいです。^_^

<Kyohei Giovanni Yoshida and Monica Pelfrey danced the central pas de deux, and arguably the entire show belonged to them. Yoshida danced in all three works, Pelfrey had leading roles in two.

The emotional connection between the two is thin. Their technical accomplishments are just the opposite.

Pelfrey's suppleness, her range of motion, and her ability to move gracefully in improbable directions and easily in whip-like turns, is astonishing. Yoshida's quicksilver moves and capacity to fill space vertically as well as horizontally is fascinating as well.>

"It definitely was an honor to receive a medal in Jackson," says Kyohei Giovanni Yoshida, 2010 USA IBC Senior Bronze Medalist. Since then he's been working with former Pacific Northwest Ballet principal Patricia Barker at Grand Rapids Balle...t in Michigan, first as a guest artist and after one year as a principal. He was invited to perform in the 16th annual International Ballet Festival of Miami in September 2012, and most recently, Francia Russell, former artistic director of PNB traveled to Michigan and coached him for the principal role Melancholic in Balanchine’s Four Temperaments. He will perform as a guest artist in Tokyo Japan this August.

Grand Rapids Ballet accomplishes evening of ground-breaking dance by Balanchine, Arpino | MLive.com

Two seminal works that changed the face of ballet, George Balanchine’s “The Four Temperaments” and Gerald Arpino’s “Light Rain,” were part of the program plus one new work, “arms that work” by Andrew Bartee, that very well could do the same. Naturally, time and subsequent performances will tell.

It was an evening of adventurous, ensemble dance for the entire company, plus five guest artists, in Grand Rapids Ballet's Wege Theatre. Three more performances follow tonight through Sunday.

The challenge, both physically and mentally, was to dance three distinctly different vocabularies in one evening. That was a huge undertaking, and the company led by artistic director Patricia Barker accomplished it with flying colors on Thursday.

Red Angels is a ballet of intense color, sound and sensual impact. 初チャイコフスキーパドドゥ！！！

今日はカンパニーに入ってもっとも大きなビッグイベント、チャイコフスキーパドドゥの初公演がありました。

お相手は福島出身の大場優香さん！彼女とは普段も仲がよくお互い理解もできるので、練習のときも楽しく本番前も気持ちが楽に持てる良きパートナーです。

お互いカンパニーに入って初パドドゥで、3週間という多少短い練習期間での本番だったので不安はありましたが。それを乗り越え落ち着いて観客からも大きな拍手を貰うことができました。

この経験を通して表現の仕方、パートニングはもちろんプロとしてのあり方など色々と学べる限りの事を学び、次へとのステップアップを踏み切ることが出来たと確信しています。

バレエマスターやディレクター、大場さんはもちろんサポートしてくださった人たちにはありがとうの気持ちでいっぱいです

でゎでゎ週も終わりに近くなりました。日曜日はバレンタインデーですね　チョコチョコショコラ食べ過ぎに注意です。笑

11日木曜日に、チャイコフスキーパドドゥの本番です。

練習中での事故

先日ダンサーの一人がリハーサル中に膝を脱臼してしまうという事故がありました。

ダンサーにとって一番の恐怖というのは、やっぱり怪我をしてしまうとか、病気になってしまうなどという体に関係する事だと思う。

動けなくなってしまったら一大事のこの世界、自分の夢を諦めなければならないというケースも少なくない。

かと言って怪我が怖くてダンサーは務まらない。

そこで大切なのは自分の体を理解することではないだろうか。

理解することによって何に気を使えばいいか分かりより正しい方法で練習ができ。

よってより正確な結果が出せる。危険も少なくなり怪我の心配も少なくなる。

などと理想的なことを考えていた日々でした。笑

でもこうやって考える事も大事ですよね。

どうでしょうか？何か意見や感想などあればよろしくお願いします。

でわ皆さん（ダンサーに限らず）お体には気をつけて。

この前の１８日二十歳の誕生日でした。

朝から皆からお誕生日おめでとうと言ってもらい、

白鳥の湖の本番があったんですが、本番後に皆で乾杯をしてもらいお決まりのhappy birthdayの曲を歌ってくれました。

いやぁ～よい１日を過ごさせて頂きました

皆さんありがとうございます。

そして今週の土曜日に改めてパーティーを開きます

てことで、これからは成人の仲間入りをさせて貰います
